I started Judy’s House Foods in 2018 at my home in a nice quaint village in Staffordshire, a stones throw from Stafford town center. I love potatoes and I wanted to make fresh homecooked food, without using processing aids or additives, to supply to the consumer and to small retailers. No Nonsense food, just like your mum or Gran would cook.
I was lucky enough to be brought up on a farm in Lincolnshire and became involved in Food and Agriculture, not surprising! I have worked with potato farmers and vegetable farmers in the UK all my working career and, as I am a qualified agronomist, I’ve developed an understanding for farming practices and husbandry. I have also been involved heavily in Red Tractor Farm assurance schemes and food safety standards within factories and Pack houses. This has helped me enormously with food safety practices and Food production.
After what seemed like hundreds of trials of different potato recipes, I finally found the winning formula. I don’t include additives or use any processing aids to enhance my food to look brighter or last longer, my food isn’t frozen or massed produced. My dishes are homemade, using only the best ingredients. I lovingly make small batches to order, producing tasty dishes that have even won Food awards!
